Elopements and Intimate Celebrations

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic most 2020 weddings plans have needed to be adjusted. While large social gatherings like weddings are looking increasingly unlikely this summer there are many couples left wondering what it could look like to still get married this year.

We’re thrilled to be able to announce a new pricing structure for elopements and intimate celebrations. If you’re looking to head off to the lake to get married or to tie the knot at City Hall (whenever they reopen for marriage licences), we’d love to be present to capture it all on video.

Intimate celebrations have a couple of clear upsides for you, so let’s break them down.

1. Elopements are significantly more cost effective

Eloping to a local destination will be significantly more cost effective than hosting a large wedding. For example, our elopement video packages are 50% cheaper than our full wedding coverage. On top of that, consider the spared expenses of things like booking a venue. Moreover, you can have an intimate elopement now, and then save up and throw a big celebration for your friends and family at a later date.

2. A unique film that can be shown at parties / receptions in the future.

The plus side to hiring a videographer for your elopement is that you’ll then have a unique film, shot in an intimate setting that you will be able to play for guests should you ever choose to have a larger celebration in the future. One client we’re currently working with had a 20 person in-home wedding ceremony with the intention of showing the film at a later wedding celebration.

An elopement film is crafted in an intimate and relaxed environment, free from the distractions of time limits, guest conversations and general wedding day obligations. As videographers, we also experience a heightened degree of creative freedom, being able to capture your story in a unique way.

If you’ve ever considered an elopement at the cottage or an intimate ceremony in your home then we’d love to talk with you about telling your story.
